VAT Relief for the United Kingdom

SYMBYX Lasers (PDCare, DuoCare 904 and the PhysioCare) are zero-rated for VAT in the UK.  

These devices are considered aids for the chronically sick or disabled, as they are designed to relive symptoms of chronic conditions like Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia and chronic pain/inflammation. 
 
What does this mean? 
If you are living with one of these conditions and are eligible under the VAT disability relief scheme, you can receive a refund of GST paid. All you need to do is return a signed declaration to SYMBYX.

How do I know I am eligible for 20% cash back? 
This scheme is available for individuals who are chronically sick or disabled, this includes conditions such as Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, and chronic pain and inflammation.   

  • Please note that this scheme is only available for individuals residing within the United Kingdom who intend to use the device personally. 
  • Businesses and institutions are not eligible for the VAT relief. 
 
What do I need to do? 
To ensure that we can refund you the VAT paid on your device, we kindly request that you complete the form linked below. This form helps us verify your eligibility for the VAT exempt program, which requires confirmation of a chronic condition. By filling out and returning the form within 7 days after purchase, you'll be refunded the VAT paid for your device. 
 
Step by Step process:

  2. The team will process your VAT refund. 
  3. Receive your refund within 2-4 business days 
Refund timeline: 
  • Processing Time: 2 business days from the receipt of the signed form. 
  • Refund Notification: You will receive an automated email once the refund has been processed. Check your spam folder if it doesn't appear in your inbox. 
  • Funds Transfer: Allow 48 hours for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
